Ergomax is proud to announce the conclusion of a Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) transaction with Smartvest Investment (Pty) Ltd, effective 1 October 2011.

Smartvest Investment (Pty) Ltd (“SVI”) identified the need to invest in and promote forward looking companies involved in technologies which have a material impact on the health & safety of all workers.

In part fulfilment of this strategy SVI therefore acquired a 26% shareholding in Ergomax.

This investment is welcomed by Ergomax as it provides the organisation with skilled and experienced business partners, as well as affording Ergomax a meaningful opportunity to meet the legal and moral requirements for the promotion of Black Business in South Africa. As importantly,  SVI  provides significant access to customers requiring acceptable BBBEE ratings from their service providers, and will undoubtedly contribute to the future success of Ergomax.

According to Ergomax CEO, Dale Kennedy “We are delighted with this transaction. Not only is Ergomax now aligned with a dynamic team of BEE partners, we are also confident that SVI will play a constructive role in our business by assisting to identify and confirm potential business opportunities further developing Ergonomics within Africa. In particular we are privileged to have Bheki Sibiya as our Chairman and Zarina Bassa as a Director.”

Both Denis and Dale Kennedy will remain as Directors, and Dale Kennedy will continue in his position as Chief Executive Officer.
